[Opinions] Della
What do you think of Della? I'd use it as a nickname for Adele or Adelaide. I personally think it has a spunkiness that Addie lacks, and it's fresher than Ella.As well, can you think of any other names it could be a nickname for?Array

I like it as a nn, but not as a formal name. I love Adele, Adeline, and Adelaide.

Yeah, I thought of Delta too, like flavie did. I tried to picture calling a woman Della, and I pictured her looking like Delta Burke. I think she was a TV actress at some point? All I remember is her gorgeous face, and her cool name.I like Della too, but it's not my style enough to use it. You're right, it is sort of spunky, without being gritty like Addie. I guess I think it sounds Italian, sort of. Because of the word 'della' in Italian. Better as a nick. The name I like best for it is Delphine or Delphina. - chazda

Clarification...(m)I know that there are plenty of other names it could technically be a nickname for (see here: http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?terms=*del*&nmd=n&gender=both&operator=or), but I'm curious if you have any not on that list or if there are any in specific that you think would work well.I'm also liking Candela right now.Array
