Cliff surely takes after his mother; he got married at twenty to a lower-classman, Cassandra Aston. It was a whirlwind romance, just like his parents', and merely eight months after their wedding day, Shawn Heath was born. David and Stacy are rather skeptical on how sturdy the marriage is, given the amount of times Cliff has called, reporting that he's leaving Cassandra, then never shows up to crash in his parents' basement.
Meanwhile, Gabriel is getting into romantic shenanigans of his own. He met Chloe Chaplin (a psychology major) in his English 101 class at eighteen, and by nineteen they were dating. Now twenty-one, Gabriel just proposed to Chloe, and she accepted on one condition: that he settle down and quit getting drunk at parties (oh, yes, I forgot to mention he's still as rowdy as he used to be). Hopefully, through Chloe, Gabriel might become more like the man his parents would like to see.
Sammie is still playing football with the boys rather than dating them, which is all fine and dandy for David and Stacy. They still can't believe that Sammie is going to college next year!
