When I first read your title, I thought Cypress might make a cute, off-beat girl's name. But now that I see you want to use it for a boy, I don't really like it, sorry. I wouldn't assume people would see Cypress as a boy's name.

Sawyer is fine for a fn, if you want to pass down your family's heritage. If it's not a family surname, then I really dislike it.
