How do you like Lucia with that pronunciation, in my opinion, it’s the only pronunciation I like. What pronunciations do you like, also do you like Lucienne?

Lucia pronounced like that sounds unisex to me, perhaps due to it's resemblance to Lucius and Lucian. I prefer loo-see-uh because it's girlier. I do like Lucienne.

Lucia (Loosh-uh) is a Latin name. I know because Im currently taking Latin in school and there's this chick named that in the workbook :)

Otherwise, I really like it. Very pretty

In classical Latin it would sound like Loo kee uh, not LOOSH uh.

I get what you're saying, but technically we don't really know the pronunciation of the Latin ancients spoke. So the "modern" pronunciation of Latin words (for example, meus being pronounced "MAY-oos") can certainly differ from how, say, Caesar pronounced it. And this isn't me trying to prove my point, I just enjoy arguing :)

I like Lu SEE uh rather than LOO shush. I’ve also heard it pronounced as Lu CHEE uh. Lucienne is okay but if I were to use the name I’d probably just go with Lucy.

I’m not fan of the loosh-uh pronunciation, I like it as Loo-see-uh. I love Lucienne though…

It's my least favourite pronunciation, I don't like it one bit. My favourite is loo-SEE-a. I like Lucienne well enough, but I vastly prefer both Lucy and Lucia.

I hate LOO-sha. It’s so…mushy. I love loo-SEE-a, though.

Lucienne is nice as loo-see-en. Don’t like loo-shen — mushy again.

In English I pronounce Lucia as LOOSH-ə, while in my native tongue, I pronounce it as loo-SEE-ah. I prefer LOOSH-ə, though. I don't like Lucienne, the -enne ending seems too much for me.
