[Opinions] Birth Announcement
One of my good friends had her baby today and named him Zakariya (no middle name) after the prophet Zachariah (they are Muslim but she wanted an alternative spelling). He is younger brother to Najma (no middle name). Wdyt? It reminds me a lot of one of my own favorites for boys Zacchaeus. A bit more religious than I am going for these days but I still like both and their variants. I love Najma (the name and the little girl) it is so pretty imo. It's a name that has an innate warmth to it. Also I promised this friend I'd finish a baby quilt for her soon but I have a bad cold and might just order off Amazon instead 😅Please rate my "Names I would Use" list & "Backup Favorites" list. Feel free to rate some of my other lists too if you have the time.

I like the sound, but I prefer the Zachariah spelling. It reminds me of a long favorite of mine: Zachary.

I prefer Zachariah to Zakariya, but it probably goes better with Najma. Both names aren't really my cup of tea, but they aren't bad. Now Zacchaeus is rather interesting.

It's OK. Seems like a traditional name that works well for all ages.Najma is adorable.

Yes I agree Najma is the stand out of the two. This friend wants a few more kids after this one so I am curious what her other choices will be in the future.
