I'd actually Alyssa. It's very pretty. I like Melissa a lot too and wouldn't have minded having it for my own name.
Clarissa feels prissy and posh to me.

I like Alyssa the most and Clarissa the worst. Melissa sounds sweet like its meaning suggests. Alyssa sounds laid-back and easy going. Clarissa just sounds arrogant to me. I don't see them as "mom's names". I think -issa names are pretty in general.

I like Alyssa the most. I also like Clarissa, but I don’t care for Melissa.

Clarissa sounds like she’d bite me.

They do seem like mom names now. My favorite of these is Melissa. I have bad associations with Alyssa.

I like Melissa and Alyssa.
Melissa is one of the names I've seen most often throughout my life. So I'm pretty bored with it. It's not a mom-name to me despite, because the youngest Melissa I know is about 21. Melissa is like Alison - no longer "fashionable" yet hasn't really dated too much. imo anyway.Alyssa was given to my neighbor's baby in 1980 and it was an unusual choice then. But never seemed very unusual, thanks to the prevalence of Alison and Melissa and Alicia. I like it mainly because it reminds me of alyssum flowers.Clarissa sounds very cold to me. It's like a knife. I can appreciate that it's beautiful but I'm not attracted to it.

I find them all rather dated and over-ornate. I much prefer Clare to Clarissa and Alice to Alyssa, though I am fond of alyssum flowers; Melissa is sentimental in the extreme and if you look at the meaning, it is amazing that it is a translation of Deborah! Which is nothing if not tough.

I love Clarissa. I like Melissa, and I like Alyssa but have bad associations with it. I love -ssa names in general. Melissa and Alyssa are probably mom names now. Clarissa was never popular enough to be a mom name, at least not where I live.

Melissa definitely sounds like a mom name to me now. I like its meaning, but I have negative associations with real life ones that prevent me from liking the name unfortunately.Alyssa is common among my age group so I've become tired of it. If I had to pick, I'd choose Clarissa. It seems like the most elegant of the bunch.

Alyssa is a highly common name in my age group. Melissa isn’t unheard of, either. Regardless, I’ve always liked the name Alyssa. It’s very pretty.

They’re all pretty names but have a very 80s/90s vibe. Clarissa is the one that feels more like a classic.
