All the biological Samuel children have found partners. Hollis, who is now a clinical sport psychologist, is engaged to Emilia Rose. She is studying toxicology. Hollis and Emilia are going to get married after she graduates.
Michael is married to Stephanie. They were married a year ago. Michael is studying business law and Stephanie animal science. They had twins Nathan and Shanna one year ago. Michael works as well as studies, while Stephanie has moved all her classes online and moved back home. Her parents help her take care of the twins, and Michael facetimes them every day since the college is about one hour from her house.
Natasha is also married, though childless. Her husband, Danny, is in med school. Natasha is in interior design.
Two years ago, right before Natasha moved out, Nate and Caitlyn decided to try foster care. A four year old girl was given to them, despite their request to foster no younger than eleven. Kelila stole their hearts, however. Kelila's father had been absent and her young mother with four small children couldn't take care of them. She put Kelila and her siblings up for adoption.
Nate and Caitlyn decided to adopt Kelila. She idolizes Natasha, and loves her brothers even though she doesn't see them that often. The older Samuels view Kelila as more of a niece than a sister, but love her all the same.
