Ellen is ok, don't like the others

I prefer the Eleni spelling over Elleni. Eleni looks a bit more intentional whereas Elleni just looks like a typo of Ellen to me. I like Helen in the sense that it feels like a nice grandmotherly name but I think it still needs to sit on the shelf for a bit. Helena is a little bit more my speed & more in flavor of the modern day. If I had to choose between it and Ellen I would probably still choose Helen.

Fun fact: one of my ancestors was a Helen who in fact had a sister named Ellen. Both living at the same time. They were two of 12 sisters. Allegedly, Helen (the younger) was picked because this was the pre-baby name information era & after 10+ other daughters the mom just straight up was running out of names she knew and liked 😅 poor woman. One single boy too, smack dab in the middle of all those women named Octavius "Gus". He was a veterinarian & actually helped one of his sisters deliver her baby during a snowstorm because the Midwife was unable to make it in the weather.

Ellen - currently ruined by DeGeneres. I find it a bit dated and very adult sounding. Hard to imagine a baby Ellen.
Helen - I dislike how this has "hell" in it, but it's not a bad name.
Elleni - Eleni? Elleni looks wrong to me. I like the way it looks but not the way it sounds because the Es are short ell-enn-nee from what I know. I'd like it as ay-lay-nee (can't explain, not really AY but more like a long EH).

Well since grandma names are back in style, Helen and Ellen are refreshing to me now. Helen sounds more formal than Ellen which makes it better imo. Eleni/Elleni is just alright.

I far prefer Helen and would use it happily IRL. I dislike Ellen, which I associate with 19th-century housemaids, and Elleni just doesn't look English.

I don't really like any of those.
Though I think Helen and Ellen are okay - prefer Helen.

I've never seen Elleni, only Eleni. Alway's sounds childish to me.

I think Helen is quite nice, but I don't like Ellen or Elleni at all.
