I really like Meredith for a girl. It is a vintage name that I expect to make a comeback. It has a fun steampunk (Victorian era reimagined) glamor like Seraphina or Phineas.

I knew a Meredith with a sister Bronwen. She was sometimes called Merry, but it never really caught on. MERedith is female to me, and meRIDeth is very male: a Welsh rugby player name. I don't think it would work too well outside Wales, unfortunately.

I love it. It’s unique, beautiful and strong. Merryn is also a favourite of mine.

Meredith is an underused, cosmopolitan name. Admittedly, it's way easier imagining Meredith on an adult than a child. Also, while I know this name was historically masculine, I can't imagine it on a man born after the end of WWII.When I made my "Power-suit" name poll for feminine names, I somehow forgot Meredith; but I place her in the same category as Gretchen, Rachel, Veronica, Sloane, Maude, Brooke, etc. as strong feminine names that seem to belong on letterhead.Meredith Ivy
Meredith Eloise
Meredith Amanda
Meredith Amelia
Meredith Emilia
Meredith Olive
Meredith Eva
Meredith UrsaThose are just some combos off the top of my head (I think it sounds best when the middle begins with a vowel).
