Edith with the man Edie.

Edith. Neither appeals, but Elizabeth's ubiquity bores me.

I love both. I’d go with Elizabeth though, just because it’s more timeless. They’re both wonderful names - I love names that end in -th.

My MIL's names are Edith Elizabeth. She never used either of them and just went by Bunty. Both her names were given for family reasons: the family tradition of honouring names is very strong. FWIW they're Scottish.I have tried, but I really don't enjoy Edith. It's better than Ethel, but that's as far as I go. My daughter's first mn is Elizabeth, because it's beautiful and because of my MIL, who was delighted.

Elizabeth, because there are so many nickname options and Edith is too close to my daughters name, Eden.

Edith.Normally I go with longer names that have more flexibility with nicknames. But Elizabeth is too normal and "middle name"-ish. But Edith wins this time, hands down. Despite its simplicity, it still has room for nicknames. Plus I love German names

Edith.
I think it's a very cool name. Flapper vibe. Germanic yet not ugly. Edie for short, why not.
Elizabeth is like white wall paint. Can't do wrong with it, but it leaves basically no impression at all.

EdithThere is nothing wrong with Elizabeth but I know a lot of them of all different ages.

Elizabeth. Timeless classic with way more choice of nicknames.

A few months ago I would've said Elizabeth, no contest; but...Ever since watching The last Kingdom, I've grown a new appreciation for Edith. Especially since I'm the one who made this post: https://www.behindthename.com/bb/baby/5298883Edie is also really cute.
