Sharon is a nice sandy-blonde colour for me, and I like the nickname "Shar" (said like share). It's a little faded and lumpy for me, a bit too over-familiar, but it's still nice. A steady, homey name. In terms of Mom Names, Sharon is an ok one. I should go through all the Mom and Dad names in my brain and guess which ones might make a comeback.

I love the name Sharon so much, and I wish that it were more popular nowadays; it reminds me of pink, falling flower petals. The name also looks so beautiful, and it’s very fun to write (in both print and cursive!).

Yeah, I think it's nice the way Shirin, Charlotte, Shannon can be. I do prefer Shirin, but it's not really that different...I think it sounds quiet or self-contained but also like someone generally good-humored who enjoys the small things in life. It's not popular like Charlotte has become (Charlotte and Sharon are both grandma names to me), and I guess it's not as regal/classic sounding, but I don't consider it as dated as I do Cheryl and Karen.

I like Sharon, but it's a little stodgy.

No Sharon doesn’t appeal to me. It’s plain (no pun intended) and reminds me of Karen.

Hi!I like Sharon because it's more nature-themed (the plain and the Roses of Sharon) and less Biblical-themed than other names in my opinion. Here in Italy Sharon has been popular only since 1990s because before was only Jewish while in recent decades thanks to TV, media, etc ... from the Anglosphere it spreaded. In 2000 it was #85 with 535 new Sharon while in 2021 it was #138 with 188 newborns.

I can see why it was once popular, but now it reads as too old, but not old enough. I've only ever known old Sharons with the exception of the Chinese transfer student at university who chose Sharon as her English name. I think her Chinese name is Xhauping (spelling may be wrong) pronounced zhaw-pin which is probably why she chose Sharon, as its likely the closest "normal" English name to that sound. I'm not personally a fan, but if I lived 50 years before, perhaps I would have been.

Don't really like it

Never has. It just makes me think of stretched-out stretch pants and too much hairspray.

I think it’s really nice and I can definitely see why it was trendy once upon a time. My kindergarten teachers name was Sharon.
