This was hard for me; I’d choose Cassidy, despite my love for Katrina. The reason being, I just love the way Cassidy sounds! Though, I know I’m probably a minority, but I like it spelled as Cassadee.

OMG, I love that spelling too! I also love Cassidee!

Katrina, sparkling, bright, attractive.
Cassidy, plodding, boring, uninteresting.

Cassidy is more unisex. It has an old west swagger like "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid." For girls, it is spunky but very 90s. At this point, it feels fresher to hear it on boys again. I prefer Katarina over Katrina. Katrina is feminine and less flash in the pan as a name for girls compared to Cassidy.

Definitely Katrina. It's probably the least used version of Katharine at present, which is a big plus.

Definitely Katrina. It's so sprightly and bright. Cassidy is just unattractive to me in look and sound.

Katrina because its more clasic while Cassidy is an old trend.

I agree! Trina is pretty too if you want to avoid the Hurricane Katrina association

I guess I'm the only one, but I definitely prefer Cassidy over Katrina. I have always loved the name Cassidy, but I've never been a huge fan of the name Katrina, I don't really have a reason other than that.

Katrina. They both seem a little dated to me, but Cassidy looks more stale.
I think Hurricane Katrina made people stop naming their babies Katrina for a while and that made the name feel fresher, but it's also just the look and sound. The sharp K as opposed to dull C + "ringy" sound of "tri/trina" make Katrina sharp and sparkly.

Cassidy over Katrina BUT Catharina/Katarina over Cassidy

I like both. Katrina is more feminine than Cassidy, though.

Katrina, though I don't care for it. I hate Cassidy.
