I prefer Carly as a girl name, to Carl as a boy name. However, both of these names are absolutely solid and wonderful.

Carly is beautiful. Not a huge fan of Carl - I prefer Carlo or Carlos.

I'm becoming more interested in Carly these days. I'm not interested in Carl. And I think there is quite a difference in atmosphere between these two.
