Evangeline, hands down. A wonderful name.

Evangeline, followed by Anastasia and Cecilia last. Cecilia always feels whiny to me and I usually favor Cecile or Celia if I have to pick a variant. Anastasia is very pretty but very tied to the grand duchess Anastasia, both the historical figure and the film one. Evangeline is perfect to me.

1 Evangeline - romantic, mysterious, poetic, evocative and memorable. An added bonus is it's great meaning: the bringer of good news.2 Cecilia - pretty, lush, lyrical, feminine. The only minus is the meaning.3 Anastasia - I studied history in school including the Russian Revolution and the tragic end of the Imperial Royal Family. This name makes me think of what could have been. It just makes me sad.

All three together would make a great set of sisters imo. I would probably order them: Anastasia, Evangeline, Cecilia.

Anastasia, but I love Evangeline too! Not a fan of Cecilia.

They are all nice, but I like Evangeline just a touch more.Anastasia is an old childhood love, but it's surprisingly popular where I live. I know of three Anastasias at least and that feels like a lot, because Anastasia is a lot of name. I am also not thrilled with any of the nicknames. Anastasia is like Juliet for me, best in the middle, used as a concept element more than a "name". Anastasia is excellent fluff to fill out a sensible first name that needs some oomph and fantasy.Cecilia is admirable but has never been my fave. I like Cecily so much more.Evangeline feels sharp and dark, and I like the cadence of it. I love Eva and Evie as nicknames, and Evangeline is not often heard around my area, so it feels more special than Cecilia and Anastasia.

Cecilia, definitely! Evangeline is too tied to evangelical Christianity in my mind, and Anastasia has always felt tawdry to me.
