[Opinions] Adele and Enya
What do you think about these two names? And how strong is the association to the singer? Personally, I like Adele.

I am so surprised that Adele isn't more popular, and the only reason I can think of is because it's so associated with the singer, but it doesn't even make sense that that would make the name less popular! Adele fits right in with the crowd that loves stuff like Audrey and Evelyn and Eleanor and Ava, etc. every once in a while I see people get excited over Adela or Adeline but never Adele. I don't get it! Enya feels way more tied to one person for me, because the singer with that name is the only Enya I've ever heard of. Adele I've seen around here and there. I love them both. Adele is more elegant, and Enya is more fun. Reminds me of my youth, it's very "teenage wannabe-witch with an extensive amethyst collection who thinks she can telepathically speak with cats."

Thank you. Actually, I've always hope that Adele would become more popular. Because I think it's underrated.

I feel the same way about Adele. It's such an underrated name for no reason!

Both nice, I wouldn't worry about the singer

My association with Adele has always been a farm maid. Not the most attractive name IMO but not bad. I love the singer but the country bumpkin association just won’t leave.Enya is very gorgeous. I wouldn’t assume most people in Gen Z or below would know who the singer is. I think my associations with Enya are ethereal, exotic, and dreamy, which is probably influenced by her music.

They're both lovely names. They do both make me think of the singers, but I don't really see that as a bad thing.
