I prefer Kaylee to Kayley, but my favorite spelling is Kaylie. I just think it looks nicer.
I knew several people with that pronunciation of name with various spellings growing up (I'm in my early 30s in the US), but I haven't met any kids of late.
I do see Kylie and Callie variations with relatively high frequency in little ones.
