Here's my problem with Piper... It was one of those unique names that I felt that I had "discovered" (I had never seen "Charmed" which features a character named Piper)... and I fell in love with it. Now, it seems to be very trendy, and it's beginning to lose its appeal. I don't really like the fact that it's only been used as a name for a handful of years. It makes me worried that it will be a fad name that sounds very dated a few decades from now. All that being said, it is SO darn cute. I'm torn! :(

Love it as a FN or a MN, for a girl only. My DD is Piper Frances, so I love the name ;) She's our spunky little tomboy, so thats how I always picture a Piper.

It would sound more like a male name to me, but all the Pipers I know are girls, so I can't just picture it on a boy now...

Huge thumbs down

It's my most hated name I'm afraid. I think it's just awful.

Never heard of it for a boy, but I don't think either gender carries it well.
