Sure has alot of essential things in it that song, but I must say they are put in a very comical way."And don' be makin' bubble-farts" *smiles*
This is a nice way of saying how insignificant the workings of the devil really are even though we tend to think him stronger for some reason.Perhaps the line saying: "Lather up and set your soul free," should have been followed by something about setting your body free too to fit dogmatics better and avoid spiritualizing the whole thing too much, but then again it is a song and not a dogmatic set of teachings."All you need to wear is just a smile" I am not sure if this line should be understood as saying that worldly achievement has no influence on probability of membership or if it means that only happy people are allowed. If it is the latter then I cannot help to thnk of the following quote:"Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted"
(Matt 5,4)I wonder if God's orgasmic bathtub is supposed to be heaven or earth.
If it is heaven then Satan should not be able to make bubble-farts I suppose. But on the other hand he rebelled in heaven so...Hmm...
If it is on earth then "orgasmic" is perhaps a little too strong a word. There are of course orgasmic moments on earth *whew*, but still there is so much suffering too *sigh*But after all it is a song so perhaps one should just sing along instead of analyzing it asunder!
Great idea to put this up on the board Pavlos !-Selwyn

More background....The title of our hymn, "God's Hot, Orgasmic Bathtub", was inspired by none other than Pavlos :
Wow, thanx for the warm welcome :)Posted by Pavlos on 5/29/2001, 3:41 pm , in reply to "Greetings, Famous Pavlos ! (more)"
