1) What do you think of the name Ginevra? (possible nickname Ginny; for use in real life)2) What is your opinion on Octavia? (For a story character)3) What are good nicknames for Octavia? The best I thought of was Tavvy.

1. I like the name Ginevra and would use it in real life too. Ginny is a decent enough nn for it.2. I like Octavia too. I would also use it in real life but don't like it as much as Ginevra and prefer the masculine Octavius to the feminine OCtavia.3. Tave or Tavy seem to be the most obvious nns to me, other than Oct which doesn't sound pleasant at all.

1) Love Ginevra! So long as it is pronounced with the French soft "G" sound, and not the American J sound (like in Ginny). I also don't really like the nickname Ginny, and would prefer Neve as the nn.
2) Love Octavia!
3) Sorry, I'm with you on this one: all I can think of is Tavvy! :(

1) I like it. It's one of my favourite forms of that ame, actually. The NN Ginny is very cute.2) Love it. It's very elegant.3) O, Octo, Tavia, Via, Vee. Wouldn't use any NNs for it myself, though.

1. Not a fan. I don't think it sounds pretty.2. Love it! I'd rather see this on a real person. :) 3. Tavey or Tavia are my NNs of choice, though I'd call her by her full name most of the time. I prn Tavey the way I think you prn Tavvy, but I don't like the spelling you've used. It goes against the norms of linguistics, but that's me being a nerd.
