Erin doesn't do anything for me, it's dated in my opinion

I picture either a red haired, wild spirited elegant girl who loves nature and the harp.....or a tomboyish girl with short hair who won't wear dresses.

Erin isn't a favorite of mine but I don't dislike it either. I like it on an Irish girl (or one that has at least some Irish in her). I also like it more on a baby born today because it isn't that popular but it isn't an uncommon name. ERin Elizabeth
Erin Hope I picture a girl with cinnamin brown or red hair, kind of tall and thin, outgoing, goofy, playful, lots of fun and creative.

I don't like this name much, but I know 3 Erins, and all of them are very athletic, yet they dress "girly" and feminine. They get good grades and are nice most of the time, but can get pretty nasty.

well, i know this really mean girl named Erin, so it kind of ruins the name for me. :-( sorry.

I like it enough but it's not really my style. It is hard to distinguish from Aaron when spoken though. The two Erin's I have known have been very sporty therefore I usually imagine an Erin to be really athletic.

I agree, I know an Erin and she is really athletic. So that is how I see the name. I also see them as very determined and want good grades.

I know Erin..hehe.
She's Scots-Irish and has thick red-blonde hair with grey-blue eyes.
She's athletic, but can easily find her feminine side.
She has a very witty personality and enoys good laughs with her friends. Quite a likable girl, in fact.-Seda*

In my accent, Erin's identical to Aaron. Therefore I dislike it, since I don't generally like female names that sound like male names, just as I dislike male names on girls. (Frances is an exception to this, I admit.)However, Erin has dropped in popularity and is pretty unusual nowadays. If you want to honour your Irish heritage, it's a more original name than the trendy--if pretty--genuine Irish names (Caoimhe, etc) or the pseudo-Irish names (Meghan, etc).I can't think of any mns for Erin at the moment, sorry.Miranda
