I like it, though I prefer Claire.

I have always really disliked it, but in the past month or two, I have really loved it as a mn. I dont know why, but its my top mn for a girl. I also love it as a nn for a boy (Clarence nn Clare).
(Oh, and most on the board will say they like Claire - dont let them influence you into adding the i. Its very unattractive to me)

To me, Clare is masculine, and I like it a lot, but I don't particularly like it as a feminine name with either spelling.
It's funny the different associations people can have, isn't it? I saw that one of the other posters commented on how feminine it was!
