[Opinions] Felicity.
I haven't thought about this name in a long time, and the post below got me thinking of it. What do you think of it? Are they any nicknames? And what about the combo Felicity Bridget/Bridget Felicity?Siri

The sound isn't very attractive to me, although the meaning's lovely. I do love Felicia though, with the feh-LISS-ee-a pronunciation, not the modern feh-LEESH-uh one, which I really dislike.

Felicity Bridget is gorgeous! I love Felicity and I'm surprised that it isn't more popular. (Population stats show it suddenly debuting at 401st in 1999, with no mention of it before!). I think it's more popular here in Australia, taking the place of Felicia which I've never seen on an Australian. The only nicknames I've seen are Flick (which I don't like), Fliss (which is cute), and Liss or Lissie (which I like).

I loved this name when I was younger. Now - it's still sweet, but I have a problem with it. It's just not a name people are going to take seriously; I think it could be limiting for the bearer. Sure, it's fine on an actress, but the test it fails is this: picture a woman running for public office named Felicity. You and I might not think anything bad, but I'm sure it'd be a detriment to her image as an engaged, shrewd person who could hold power. Picture a woman who writes an advanced chemistry textbook. Does the publisher put her first name on the cover, or do they put her first initial? It's those kinds of things that make Felicity just inadequate as a real world name, for me. It would be similar to naming a boy, say, Lightheart or Poet. That said.. Nicknames: hmmm. Lisa? Felisa?
Combo: the rhythm of Bridget Felicity is better, but Felicity Bridget sounds bright too. The names are a good complement, imo. - chazda

I like it. I was a huge fan of the show Felicity so it always reminds me of it. Felicity Bridget sounds nice.

Well I posted it as part of my list, so obviously I love it! :) I have a very bad association with a woman named Bridgette, so any forms of this name are out IMO. Sorry about that, don't go by me...

I can't say that I like the name Bridget, but I absolutely adore the name Felicity (and Felicia, too). I think that Bridget Felicity sounds like the better combination, though. I agree with everyone else!
