Sorry this name is not my style I have to agree with Adelle it sounds like "yell".

Actually, Yael is said YAH-ehl, with yah sounding like the "ah" in father.

It's nice but too close to Yale to be used in real life.

I know 3 people with this name (a girl named Claudia Yael and 2 boys named Eduardi Yael and Yael) I think it's ok but I prefer Gael.
