[Facts] Why'd they name her LUCHA?
Looking for information about the first name: LUCHA. There is a possibility my gr., gr. grandmother Lucha Dill was part American Indian, other than that I have only been able to trace her to English and German roots. She was born in 1844 in Geauga Co., OH. Her parents were Giles Taylor and Semanthe Conant. Two of her brothers had Spanish origin names too: Lorenzo , Alonzo ,
Any thoughts on how she got a SPANISH name? The word lucha in Spanish means: to fight.
I would appreciate any help in solving this puzzle.
