I was going through names and I ran into the name Issa, which pointed reference to Yeshua, which says "Yeshua ben Yoseph, better known as Jesus Christ".

So, is Yeshua ben Yoseph the Aramaic form of the original name of Jesus Christ?? Does it mean Joshua son of Joseph?

And if not, pls, enlighten me to the truth...

Tennyson, in a very late poem indeed (forget the title), refers to him as Issa ben Mariam, tidily avoiding issues of paternity.

And according to several other historical sources, including the works of Celsus and the Talmud, Jesus was also known as Yeshua ben Panthera. Panthera, a Greco-Roman soldier, is cited in these works as Jesus's father.
