Re: Pronunciation of the name Esha
Difficult to say without more details (language, spelling in an Indian language or at least gender of the name). But, since your name is Sanskrit, here goes a Sanskrit analysis:e'Sa, pronounced esha (e like in English take, sh is a retroflex S, i.e. roll up your tongue as if to say t in English take as you say S instead, and a short a as in English cut; stress on the first syllable) is cognate with old high german `era' and a masculine word meaning the act of seeking, an wish, or an option, and is already used in the Rgveda. It is often used infra compound, but I have started hearing its feminine form (only the last syllable gets lengthened to A as in English car) as an independent name.
