I don't know...I think a lot of women living at a time when they were denied the same rights as men were pretty miserable. I know I would be if I were living at a time when I would be seen as mentally ill just for voicing my opinion, or wanting to work. I don't think that's just a stereotype, I think it was true for a lot of people.
