Agree with this. She might have started full of ideals and then grown disenchanted.
As possible alternatives, Agatha might have wanted to do something else than teach and might have been somehow forced into it (maybe because her parents thought it was the only thing a woman could do?). Her relationship with Miss Honey's mother is also worth exploring, as long as it doesn't all boil down to sibling rivalry/jealousy.
