Caught me with the first line! :)
This is a book I would read. Despite the serious topic, it feels very relatable. (I sympathized for the main character almost immediately!)
The imagery was grabbing, the moral lines were clearly set, and overall this is definitely a book I would pick up off the shelf after the first page.
Some nitpicking: Some of the sentence structure reads a little hard for me, for example: 'the trip would not even take an hour.' Maybe 'the trip would take less than an hour'?
*'those Antarae woman are strong' You meant *women perhaps?
What is once in a minute, twice in a moment, but never in a thousand years?
