Audrey
Do you think Audrey is too common? It's popularity seems to be going down somewhat but it's still in the top 100. Alternate spellings don't seem to be popular but there's the similar sounding Aubrey. Do you think Audrey and Aubrey could easily get mixed up? Or are they distinctive enough, kind of like Hannah and Anna?Someone suggested Meadow Audrey and I fell in love with it. I also really like it as a first name, though.Autumn is also on my list and I guess I couldn't have an Autumn and an Audrey. So which do you prefer, Audrey or Autumn?

I find Audrey a bit dowdy and old fashioned sounding but I don't hate it. It's definitely better than Aubrey - which I consider more of a boys name, and still really dated. I prefer Autumn over Audrey but I don't really like Autumn at all.

I adore the name Audrey and would have possibly used it in the future, but my niece who was born three days after my son, has Audrey as her mn to honour her grandma! I wish my names wouldn't keep being used!! I think Audrey and Aubrey are different enough to not get confused. While I like Autumn, I do prefer Audrey. My love for the name is all thanks to Audrey Hepburn.

Aw, Meadow Audrey is sweet. I don't think Audrey is too common. It's strange to think that it's less popular than Aubrey now, especially when you combine Aubrey's spellings. I never thought that would happen! Audrey and Aubrey could be mistaken for each other, especially over the phone, but they're pretty distinctive, and it's not something I would worry about. Between Audrey and Autumn, I'd pick Autumn. I think it's beautiful, all warm, bright, and cozy, and it doesn't have that "odd" beginning which is the only thing that keeps me from truly loving Audrey.

Audrey used to be a favourite of mine, but then I felt like I got overexposed to it and that's why it dropped off my list. I wouldn't say that it's too common, but I guess for me, it wasn't "the one". The thing that kind of scares me about Audrey is that I see it one people's lists when they also include names like Harper, Piper, Zoe, Cadence, and trendy stuff like that. I don't consider Audrey trendy at all, but it seems to appeal to a lot of trendy namers. I'm not sure why that puts me off it, it just does.
The idea of Audrey and Aubrey getting mixed up makes me sad. I think they're totally distinctive (not to mention, I consider Aubrey a male name).Meadow is one of my biggest GPs and Meadow Audrey is precious! So, so, sweet and cuddly and I find it to be sturdy as well, even though Meadow is pretty hippy-dippy. I love this combo!I prefer Audrey by a million miles over Autumn.

1. I don't work with little kids, but I work with teenagers and I have not seen any Audreys in the last six years in my position. It doesn't seem too popular to me.2. I think Audrey is iconic enough not to get mixed up with Aubrey.3. I prefer Audrey to Autumn. I knew a girl named Autumn who was nicknamed "Autie." It doesn't sound too pretty to me. I definitely prefer Audrey to Autie.

Audrey has never been fashionable where I live. The Audreys I've known have all been overweight, middle-aged at best, and just about up to doing undemanding work in a dry cleaning depot. And Aubrey is all male to me. And Autumn ... never met one, and I hope my luck holds.Of course, if you like Audrey, use it.

I've only known about 2 Audreys. I think the name is very pretty. I have a lot of respect for the name. I always think of Audrey Hepburn--which, imo, is only a good thing. I find Aubrey to be classless and vulgar for some reason. I can't really say why. I think they are distinctive enough, surly! I kind of like Audrey Meadow a little more. The flow is better, I think. But I understand you love the name Meadow and probably like it more in the fn slot. Not that Meadow Audrey is ugly, per se, I just like Audrey Meadow more. I definitely prefer Audrey. Autumn is very popular where I went to high school and no lie, only the most horrific girls had that name. There was one in college, too, who was a Prima Ballerina (theatre program, though, so what do you really expect lol). And as a side note... I am JUST not realizing the connection between our two posting names. I am lame. Lilies are my favorite flower! I don't like Calla Lilies oddly enough, though. :-)

Audrey doesn't strike me as too common. I've only met two in my entire life. Audrey and Aubrey are very close and sure, probably could be mixed up, but I don't really see it as a problem. I only like Aubrey for a boy, though. I prefer Audrey over Autumn, but both are nice.

I don't really like Audrey. I much prefer Autumn, which feels a little more sophisticated to my ear, or at least like it would age better. That said, I much prefer Audrey to Aubrey. I also think that they are distinctive enough not to get confused except in passing, like Hannah and Anna.

I don't know any Audrey's. I can't get into the name myself. I do much prefer Audrey over Aubrey or Autumn. :)

I love Audrey. I know one and I've never been under the impression that it's a popular name. To me Audrey is a tasteful, elegant name while Aubrey is tacky. I feel similarly about Autumn, so needless to say, I prefer Audrey.
