Laura is the one name for me that has a really bad association, so bad that it makes me hate the name. I love Lydia, though. I know a young couple who named their now three-year-old daughter Lydia, and I just had to tell them of how much I approved their name choice, especially when you consider some of the monstrosities you hear these days.
