Eunice has kind of a double whammy against it-- Eu- names are really "out" right now (Euphemia, Eudora, Eudocia), and so are -is names (Doris, Avis, Mavis, Ardis etc.)

However, like everything else except possibly Hortence, Eunice will sound fine in a decade or so. I had a stuffed unicorn named Unice when I was a kid, so I associate the name with that-- I kind of like it!
