I'm sure others can come up with Nell names for you (I see someone mentioned Fenella down there... I love Fenella!), but just wanted to say that I love the idea of Nell as a nn for an El- name. I think the etymology is really really sweet. Same reason I'd use Nan as a nn for Anne!
