Re: Phédre
first thought: is it a real name? it sounds quite strange & and I've never seen it before, although it simulates to be french...
I just know the name Phèdre (with a è not a é) from a tragedy of Jean Racine, and I think it's the french form of greek Phaidra or maybe the writer just invented it.

I dig Phèdre. I'm just putting it out there. I would use the heck out of that as a middle name.

Phédre is a name from the fantasy series Kushiel.

INSEE stats say Phèdre has been used 4 times since 1900, all of those in 1998. I guess it's possible that the play spawned a few more between the 1600s and 1900, but I think you're right and it's not a 'real' French name, in the sense of a name that is/has been in use.
Tis pretty tho.
