Re: Essie Caroline Blaze
It's weirdly random, as if they create their combos by pulling three names out of a bag. I hate Blaze. It's like something out of a little girl's horse fantasy. As for Essie, I'm not familiar with the nail polish, and I'm not completely opposed to nickname names, so it doesn't bother as much as the hokey Blaze, the misspelled, masculine Codie, and the invented Taryn do. It's insubstantial enough that I would have chosen Esther, Vanessa, or Tessa instead, but whatever. On the plus side, Essie and Bonnie are pretty cute for sisters. And, um...well, that's all I've got. I'm unimpressed with Bartholomew/Barthelemy, but years in school with a "Farty Barty" probably prejudiced me against Bart- names. I love Frederick and Francis, though.

Given the convulted path they took to choosing this, I'm not surprised. I think they just mix and mashed various things they liked from various combos that might have worked - ignoring Blaze, which is awful.I went through a phase of liking Esther, so Esther "Essie" wouldn't have bugged me as much. Essie as is is to fluffy. Ick.I never thought of Farty Barty, haha...
