Zelda
I really like Zelda at the moment. I think the nickname Zellie is cute. I always go through phases in which I really love it and then there are times when all I can think of is 'Pet Sematary' (sic) and the computer game.Do you think Zelda is usable? Is it a name you would like to have? I guess I shouldn't use a name I wouldn't like to have on a child and I think Zelda is one I'd love to see on someone, but I'm not sure whether it would be such a great name to have. Apart from the movie/book and game there's also something really old and dusty about it and it always makes me think of a witch.Zelda and Matilda would be kind of cool as sisters.

I have an ancestor named Zilda. I believe she would be a great great (maybe a third great?) grandmother. Anywho.. her husband's name was Abraham and they called one another Ham and Zildy.Because I'm familiar with Zilda as a name, I think I prefer it to Zelda, but not by much. Also, the idea of Zeldy as a sister to Tillie is wonderful. I don't think that her peers would be thinking about the Legend of Zelda as much as people who remember just plain old Nintendo would. ;-)

I met a little girl called Zelda here in Finland recently. She was just what I expected of the name, quirky, strong-willed, cheeky. I really like it.

I think Zelda is great! It's obviously not popular, it's retro-cool and quite spunky also. It's most definitely usable imo. Zelda and Matilda would be very sweet for sisters.

Funny how the name makes you think of a witch, as Zelda is the name of one of Sabrina's two aunts in "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabrina,_the_Teenage_Witch_%28TV_series%29Both aunts are also witches, just like Sabrina. The other aunt is named Hilda, by the way. Zelda and Hilda also make for a good sibset. ;)
