Re: Martella
I tried to like Nutella, but I just can't. It's got that in-between chocolate and nut flavor, and it's gross. "What matters most is how well you walk through the fire." -Charles Bukowski

I think it's geared to European tastes rather than American.I don't dislike the flavor of Nutella, it's just that I can't really acclimate myself to the idea of spreading chocolate on bread, so I never buy it, and that's probably because I'm an American. For what it's worth, my American sister loves Nutella.

I tried it on either pancakes or waffles, I forget which. It was so sticky and sickly sweet it grossed me out. I know some people put it on ice cream, but it was way sweeter than hot fudge sauce. IHOP offers crepes with Nutella and bananas.

Adding myself to this short list of people who don't find it very delicious. It's mostly sweetened palm oil anyway. How do you say "Nutella" ?? Is it Noo-tella, like NuTone or nutrition? Is it NUT-ella, like a girly nut? Either way, it isn't a great name for the product IMO.

WHATEverything I know is a lie!!In Australia, the UK, South Africa it is definitely nuh-tell-uh, because it's from a NUT. (Or something.) Or no one has ever corrected me.
