I've met a number of African American boys named Martell; that's what it reminds me of.
I don't love it but it's fine. Recognizable elements (Mar-, -ella), logical sort of construction. I wouldn't be surprised to see it in real life.
On the subject of interesting Mar- names, I've met a Marvia and a Marveline before.
