Re: Love the kid; hate the name
I just recently had this experience - I'm mentoring a little Brynnleigh in singing, and she's the sweetest girl. I found myself wincing every time I call her name, but luckily she calls me "Cat" sometimes, so I feel okay calling her "Bee". But no, my dislike of the name sticks. It has taught me a valuable lesson in judging people by their names though. "The secret garden is always open now. Open, and awake, and alive. If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden."
