I just recently had this experience - I'm mentoring a little Brynnleigh in singing, and she's the sweetest girl. I found myself wincing every time I call her name, but luckily she calls me "Cat" sometimes, so I feel okay calling her "Bee". But no, my dislike of the name sticks.
