I like Beckett, Dashiell and Carter and I like all the girls names on your list. What about Ellington, Kalia, Remington as alternatives with nn Ellie, Kali, Remi to offer additional choices? I think the girls names you have chosen are soft sounding and roll off the tongue nicely. What about combos Dashiell Carter and Ellery Peyton?

Boys: Carter or Lucan with the nn Luc. Both handsome.
Girls: um...Kali? Dislike the sp though. Kallie or Callie is much preferred.

Dashiell - This is my favourite of your boy choices although I don't really like it all that much. I find it rather pretentious and I don't like the way it sounds.
Beckett - Sounds too surname-y for me and could easily morph into bucket in certain accents. I prefer Bennett.
Carter - Again too surname-y for me, and I'm not a big fan of the former president.
Lucan - Murder. Lord Lucan, my only association with this name was a murderer. Ellery - Celery.
Kali - the goddess Kali is many different shades of awesome, but I'd not want to be named after her. Kali means "death" basically. Callie is a bit juvenile but doesn't have the same negative meaning attached to it.
Remi - I love Remi for a boy and as a nickname for a girl, but not as a full name.
Peyton - I don't mind this for boys, but don't like it at all for a girl

Boy:Dashiell -in my Top Ten. I love this one. If I were considering it in real life, I'd make sure I was very acquainted with Dashiell Hammett- his work and life story because anyone who has heard of him is going to assume little Dashiell's parents are big fans. Anyone who hasn't heard of him, is going to mispronounce the name the first few times they read it. HOWEVER, if that doesn't deter you, Dashiell is a gorgeous, lovely, classy name and I would love to meet one. (My latest story has three main characters and one is named Dashiell.)
Beckett -I love Beckett. It is, however, much more trendy than it used to be so be prepared to meet other Becketts.
Carter -This one is weak to me. I feel like I meet a new Carter every weak. And half of them are girls which is twice as weird. Carter has gotten to the point that it comes off as dull and predictable to me just like most occupational names do these days.
Lucan -I adore Lucan (and Luken). I like the ancient connection with the Arthurian legends and Lucanus and all the cool histories with this one. However, it is very close to Luca and will be confusing to people when they first see it. I think they'd adjust easily enough to it though. Girls:Ellery -Very boy to me. I know it's stressed on a different syllable, but I prefer Eleri on a girl.
Kali -If you don't kind the connection with Hinduism, Kali is cool. If you do mind, you'd probably do better going with a different spelling. I considered it as a short form of Kalliope once.
Remi -Eh, okay. Prefer on a boy. Just okay on this one.
Peyton -Nothing special here for me. Overused and dull.
