Jack used to be one of our favorites, but it's so common, and I also don't like the idea of using a nn, but then I don't care for John either.
Isaac used to be high on my list, but my best friend name her little boy Isaac, so off the list again.
David is a favorite of mine and a family name, but my husband doesn't like it. I think he doesn't like the nn, Dave. I think it's very handsome.
I'd like to like Charles, but can't because of acquaintances and because I'd just cringe if anyone called him Chuck.
