Re: Offbeat Names WDYT?

Calla- always liked but it's most likely because my name is Cara and I iften fantasized about how much nicer it would have been to be named Calla or Clara.Cezanne- why not? People are using RANDOM last names which aggrivates the living beegeebus outta me. I am all for using a last name that has an honoring aspect.Henley- sorry, I think of the shirt style - can't get past it. Also kind of blends with all of the kre8tiv names out now.Allelujah - I think I would just use Hallelujah. I have once or twice considered it as a part of a double barrel middle name because I'm not quite brave enough to use it as a first. Also- can't really imagine shouting "Hallelujah!" when my child inevitibly misbehaves.... kind of counter intuative.Makepeace - I would never- but I would think it was fabtastic if I saw it. Probably more usable as a mn.Monet - see Cezanne commentNovella- I believe this means "girlfriend" in some spanish dialects- which is feminie, but I can't imagine that I would want to name my daughter something that is basically a relationship status.Plume- meh, just not doing it for meTobijah- You know, I think I like it. I am admittedly a fan of name mixing and bledning when they are two individually discernable names that can create a new "super name" - ok I sound like Frankenstein- I know. And some name mash ups are about as attractive as the green guy in the movies- but I think I really like this.Be like a seed, bloom where you're planted!
