Baby Judy today! There was a little Judy today at church, a few months old. I'm pretty sure she was named after someone (she walked in with a grown up Judy). It's not a name I've ever been find of, and it felt a little weird calling a baby "Judy," but I was still really glad to see it. A nice change from the multitude of isabellas and Abbys I seem to encounter everywhere. -------------------

It's my niece's name. She's two, and she was named after her grandmother.I love it. It's like a little gemstone, sparkly and beautiful. And I agree, it's a nice change of pace from all the Abbys and Isabellas.

Judy is adorable. I don't like Judith as it's heavy and sullen, but Judy is so bright and cheerful and vivacious, albeit very much in a poodle skirt and saddle shoes at the malt shop kind of way.

I love Judy. It's so cute and spunky. I agree that it's a nice change from the Isabellas and Abbys.

Well, I really dislike Judy.But then, as you said, it's not Isabella or Abby. It's not a surname, and it's not overly popular at this time, and is in fact dated, and that makes it a surprising choice and this child will stand out name-wise from her peers.So kind of a wash.

Oh, how sweet! I love Judy. I might use it as a middle name someday, now that I think about it, to honor someone. I agree, it's a breath of fresh air. Would enjoy hearing it more often.

Judy reminds me too much of Judge Judy. Makes me think of a crabby, very bitter older woman.Much prefer Jody/Jodie
