Pascal(e) +more
Do you like the name Pascal for a boy, or Pascale for a girl? Do you prefer it used on a boy or girl?On an entirely different note, would you pronounce Hera as 'HER-uh' or 'HEER-uh' and which do you prefer? Do you think the spelling 'Hira' would be better to indicate the 'HEER-uh' pronunciation? Thanks!

My husbands name is Pascal. It's very common in french speaking areas (as well in german speaking areas). I know a lot Pascals (boys) and few Pascales (girls). I don't realky like Pascale for girls, it doesn't sound feminine IMO. Maybe it's just because Pascale is not so widespread... ^^I pronounce Hera as HEH-ruh. If you like people to pronounce it HEER-uh, I would definitely write it Hira.

I prefer Pascal on a boy to Pascale on a girl. Pascal is just so very handsome, I wouldn't hesitate to use it; Pascale doesn't do nearly as much for me.I don't pronounce Hera either of those ways; I say HAIR-uh. I had no idea there were other pronunciations. I'd pronounce Hira as HI-ruh actually, like Hiram without the m.

I adore Pascal! Pascale is also quite lovely for a girl.I pronounce Hera as "HEH-ruh." I don't like Hira or the "HEER-uh" pronunciation.

I like both Pascal and Pascale, but they seem a bit dated as the Pascales I know are middle-aged. I'd probably pronounce Hera as HEER uh - not sure if this is the usual English pronunciation or if the similarity to Hero has always made me read it that way. I'd pronounce Hira the same way as it looks like Mira.

Both Pascal and Pascale get a big thumbs up from me. I prefer it (Pascale) for a girl, but not by much.Hera is HAIR-uh to me. I would be more likely to pronounce Hira as HEER-uh.

Pascal for a boy. I've never heard of Pascale for a girl. Is it pronounced the same? It doesn't seem very feminine to me.For Hera I would say "HAIR-uh"
Between HER-uh and HEER-uh, I like HEER-uh better. But neither sounds as natural to me as HAIR-uh.
Oh wait, it HER-uh supposed to sound like the word 'her' or 'hair'. Now I'm all confused.
For Hira I would say "HI-ruh", so that's even more confusing.I can't think of a way to write HEER-uh that is fool-proof, other than Heera, which isn't awesome.

Yes I do Like Pascal for a boy and Pascale for a girl, But I kind of like Pasculina/Pascalina, or Pascaline because I love the easter holiday.Pascale \p(a)-sca-le, pas-cale\ as a girl's name (also used as boy's name Pascale), is of French and Hebrew origin, and the meaning of Pascale is "passover". Early Christians often gave this name to children born at Passover.Pascale has 8 variant forms: Pascalette, Pascaline, Pascalle, Pascha, Paschale, Pashelle, Pascua and Pascuala. For more information, see also the related name Easter.Read more at http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Pascale#jvIcDqaX8YPElvxZ.99As for Hera, I always pronounced it Haira like Era with an H for some weird reason, But Heera is pretty too- Hira - i would pronunouce it Hurra or Hyra.
