is pretty convincing - it's saying that the media not switching her name like Diana's is down to the internet basically - which is more convincing and intelligent-sounding than the assumption that it's just all about "cutting the royals down to size." Sure there is some ironic fun in referring to them as though they're our peers, but it's not hate. If the goal was to cut them down to size, I'm sure people could come up with some really mean ways to call them.
