Helen's my favorite of all the names previously in the running. I'm not excited by Anne or Ellen at all. I guess I like Ellen? better, maybe? I think I like Anne more in theory but Ellen in practice? Like, I like how Anne looks but when it's said, it's just so dull, imo. Neither really 'go' with Miriam either, to me at least.
I like Samuel or Raphael best for boys.

Alexander is pushing for Helen. I'm meh on it. I agree that neither Anne or Ellen really go with Miriam, which is OK. They don't clash like my siblings' names (although Miriam might get the a similar look of disbelief when she states her sister has the uber-common name Anne.)
I'm glad someone picked Samuel. It's my favorite.
Thankfully we are waiting at least another year for baby two, perhaps we'll have figured it put by then.

Miriam is more common than Anne, I don't think she'll get many disbelieving looks for that.
I can't explain exactly why they don't go together to me. You're right, they don't clash, but I guess... Anne and Ellen seem kind of stern, I guess? While Miriam doesn't give me that kind of vibe.

Well, maybe Miriam is more popular for babies, but I wonder if there are more living Annes/Anns or Miriams? I'm betting on Anne/Ann.
