Re: Tacky.
In a related note,
My husband is a musician (artist, really) and doesn't like Cadence either. But, he does like Harmony a lot, and loves both Zimri and Jubal for their historical references. We also considered Jubilee, Viola, Sonnet and Minuet seriously, though I am far more interested in Minuet than he is. I only have musical bones (play violin/viola and sing opera/aria), but would not call myself a musician and I cannot create on my own. That said, I would not use Aria because of it's trendiness... but I love the history Bex mentioned behind it.

I love the name Jubilee. I just like how it sounds. It's so happy and free. The first time I saw the name, it was associated with a grocery store. I had no idea it had a musical reference involved. It's very cute, and potentially very pretty with the right surname and personality.
I really like Sonnet too. I think that's my English degree coming out though. Sonnet's are a great read and I love literary names, including names that allude to the written word as opposed to characters and authors.I'm sure you and your husband will pick the perfect name(s). It sounds like you have a lot of choices. That's always a good thing. That way you can narrow it down and both be happy.
