In my decipheringdo I spy "Sexy"?
Oh dear.Runar - ROO-nar? That would be kind of cool. Just so it's not runner.

Something like that. The Swedish/Norwegian U sound isn't found in English, so ROO-nar or REW-nar would be closest. It's a common name in Norway, but rare in Sweden.

Anselmus -Better or worse than Anselm? - I'd say about as bad.
Aramund - Aragorn's long lost brother.
Brothar - misspelled brother or 'bread hair' (German: Brot Haar)
Éldi - Aldi (supermarket)
Emund - misspelling of Edmund
Patrekr - misspelling of Patrick?
Runar - actually looks and sounds okay
Snelmund - no, just no
Syksy -Look too trendy, kre8tiv? - looks as if it has been taken directly out of my Finnish language book
Theudehelm - looks weird

Maybe I should have said that these are all legit names, they just haven't been added to the main database yet. :(

Syksy is actually a Finnish word for autumn, but it's quite rare as a given name. It's pronounced as SUYK-suy (the letter y is pronounced like the German ü or u in French word tu).Of those names, I like Aramund, Éldi, Emund, Runar and Syksy. And I prefer Anselm to Anselmus.

Alselmus, Aramund, Emund, and Theudehelm at least look like they could have come from some really old documents that a Medieval scholar was digging throuhg. Eldi could be someone writing out my third great grandpa's nn, LD. (Laughlin Duncan)Syksy- kre8iv spelling for Sexy? (But why would anyone want to name a kid that, any spelling.) I suppose it could be a nn for someone named Sexton. Is Brothar brother?
