opinions on these names??

* Louise - classic, therefore a great middle name in my opinion! Sounds very noble
* Emilia - sounds lovely! Maybe a little too common thesedays
* Mae/May - Great middle name as well! Too short and empty as a first name
* Celeste - lovely meaning and a very soft sound, but a better middle name in my opinion (like Louise)
* Carol - rather old; can't imagine it on a young girl, therefore I prefer Karolina or Karoline, or Caroline as a middle name.

Love them all, kinda.
Louise is lovely, but always make me think "outdated", which is strange because I love older names. I have a friend, my age, with this name and I always want to say Louisa as it feels incomplete.
That said, I do like the name... I just would never use it as a first name.
Emilia - I like this. Just like. I love Amelia, which I noticed ranks below Emilia in several BtN polls. :( In any case, I would enjoy seeing it on a little one, but I would personally use Amelia for one of my children.
May - prefer this over Mae by miles. Love the name. Adore it really. As a month name, and as a vintage name it is just cute and simple. (But, I love June too).
Celeste - seriously considering this name myself, so I would have to give it high marks. I like the images it conveys, and the prettiness of it.
Carol - ADORE this name. No idea why, but I just do. It's a noun-name that people don't even notice. It has an old-fashioend vibe, but is very fresh and simple to me. I really wanted to name my daughter this but had an interesting convo with my mom that changed my mind long enough for us to find a different name:
Me: Mom, any suggestions on what to name the baby?
Mom: I don't care, as long as it isn't something ugly like Carol.
Me: Seriously? Do you really think Carol is ugly?
Mom: Yes. Well, not ugly like Nimrod or Dorcas, but...
Me: Oh, because that was our top name choice.
Mom: Your kidding!
