Pronounce Magdalena for me?
Hello! I've had Magdalena on my list for a while now, and I love it, but I've been wavering on which way I should pronounce it. I want to go with the most common pronunciation. Please tell me where you are from so I can take accents into account. Thanks!

I live in California and would say mag-də-LAY-nə. Other Americans might say mag-də-LEE-nə.

The two I know, who are both from Poland, are MAG-da-LAY-na.
Both go by Magda.
I'm in Canada

These re the pronunciations I use in the order I think of them:MAGG-da-LEN-uh (where "mag" rhymes with "hag" and "len" rhymes with "end")
MAG-da-LEN-uh (where "mag" rhymes with "hog" and "len" rhymes with "end")
MAG-da-LAYN-uh (where "mag" rhymes with "hog" and "len" sounds like "lane")

mag-da-LAY-naI'm in the Midwest United States (Missouri).Based on what I can tell, this is the most common pronunciation in English, but in other countries where this name is actually used more often, it is more often the LEH-nah version. Personally, I prefer it as mag-da-LAY-na. It's a beautiful name. :)

I would either pronounce it mag-da-LAY-na (in English) or mahg-dah-LE-nah (in Estonian).
